After I graduated from high school, I thought about my place in the world a lot. I really started to take in how small OUR existence is, let alone my own.

One day, the Earth will be gone, and I think that's a very interesting concept to think about. Everything we know now, everything our ancestors knew then, and everything our predecessors will know in the future will be gone. That thought leaves me sitting with the question, "Well, if one day everything's gonna be gone, what's the point?"

I combined a crescent moon and a skull to create the idea of a "dead moon." After that, I just gave the moon a sunny little friend.  

It's okay not to know what the point is, just do your best to try and enjoy each day. If you spend too much time trying to find a reason for everything, you'll go insane.
