Anxiety has been a struggle for me for a very long time. It was more dormant in my earliest years, but as I grew up, the problem grew with me. My anxiety was at its peak during and right after high school; this piece was simply to cope with an episode I was having.

I remember being in the back of a car with a pit in my stomach and nails bitten down way farther than they should be. This drawing is a result of my frenzied state of mind at the time and a desire for even just a moment of comfort (which I got when I realized how cool this drawing was turning out). 

Anxiety has always left me feeling very isolated. If it's a problem we share, I hope this piece can resonate with you.
